More than a year after announcing her separation from Bharat Takhtani, Esha Deol has spoken candidly about her personal life. While she acknowledged being single, she shared that she and Bharat continue to work together for the well-being of their two daughters. Esha added that their children`s happiness and well-being will always come first.
Esha Deol on being a single mom
In an interview with Bombay Times, Esha Deol opened up about her life after separation. She dismissed the “single mom” tag, highlighting how she and Bharat are a team when it comes to their kids. “I would say that while I am single, I don’t see myself as a single mom. By the grace of God, Bharat and I are very much a team when it comes to co-parenting our daughters. We are a family, and our children will always come first. To give them love and affection and be the strong pillars of support for them, that’s something we are deeply committed to,” Esha said.
About Esha and Bharat’s separation
In 2024, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani officially announced their separation after over a decade of marriage. In a joint statement, the two requested privacy while stating that the well-being of their children would remain their top priority. Both Esha and Bharat continue to be good friends, and last year, on the latter`s birthday, Esha posted a cute caption for the father of her children.
Esha Deol, daughter of Dharmendra and Hema Malini, married businessman Bharat Takhtani in 2012. The former couple are parents to two daughters and continue to co-parent them. Following the demise of Dharmendra in November last year, Bharat was seen standing rock-solid by Esha and her family during their difficult time. At one point, Esha was also seen having a family lunch with Bharat.
Meanwhile, Bharat hinted at finding love again after the separation. Through a social media post, he shared a picture of himself posing romantically with a woman whose face he chose not to reveal.

Esha is also focusing on her career and will next be seen in the horror-comedy Ghunghat. Set in the mysterious village of Jangipura, the film revolves around the cursed spirit of Bhuri and promises a mix of horror, romance, fantasy, and drama.
