Celina Jaitly accuses husband Peter Haag of abuse, domestic violence and cruelty

Former Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has reportedly filed a domestic violence complaint with the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Andheri’s Court of Maharashtra`s Mumbai. The actress claimed that her Austrian husband of 14 years caused severe emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse to her in their marriage.

Celina`s plea reportedly came up for hearing on Tuesday before judicial magistrate S C Tadye. Consequently, Tadye has issued a notice to Haag and posted the matter for hearing on December 12, 2025. In her application filed through Karanjwala & Co law firm, Jaitly accused Haag of domestic violence, cruelty and manipulation under provisions of the Domestic Violence Act.

The former Miss India claimed that she was subjected to severe emotional, physical, sexual and verbal abuse at the hands of her husband because of which she was forced to flee her home in Austria and return to India. The No Entry actress alleged that after marriage, the Austrian hotelier and entrepreneur prohibited her from working.

The plea stated, “The respondent (Haag) is a narcissistic, self-absorbed individual. He has a short temper and alcoholic tendencies, which have consistently caused the applicant (Jaitly) stress.” Additionally, she also allegedly listed several instances where her husband had indulged in physical and verbal abuse.

The plea also stated that Peter Haag had filed a divorce application back in August this year before a court in Austria. Consequently, the mother of three has sought a direction that her estranged husband pay a sum of Rs 50 crore as compensation in addition to Rs 10 lakh per month as maintenance. Additionally, she has also sought access to her three children, who are presently living with their father in Austria. 

For the unversed, Celina Jaitly and Peter Haag tied the knot in 2011 in Austria. They welcomed twin sons in March 2012, whom they named Winston and Viraaj, marking a joyful chapter in their marriage. Later in 2017, they became parents once again after welcoming another set of twin boys, Arthur and Shamsher. However, the family faced a heartbreaking loss as one of the infants, Shamsher, passed away due to a hypoplastic heart condition soon after birth.
