Land oustees have received a major relief from the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The court ruled that Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran cannot charge current market rates for residential plots. Beneficiaries will now pay rates prevalent at the time of application. The court found the authority’s delay in issuing allotment letters arbitrary.
