Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan approved 5,000 houses for internally displaced persons in Manipur. These homes will be built under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin. The approval follows a meeting with Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh. The violence has displaced thousands since May 2023. The state government aims to resettle 10,000 families by March 31.
