Actress Daisy Shah is currently working on a film being directed by singer-turned-filmmaker Palaash Muchhal. Palaash was in the news last year for his wedding with Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana, which was eventually called off. The two were set to tie the knot in November but reportedly called it off on the day of the wedding. Amid the controversies surrounding him, Daisy has described Palaash as a “good person.”
Daisy Shah calls Palaash Muchhal a good person
In an interview with Filmygyan, Daisy said she came in contact with Palash through his sister, singer Palak Muchhal, who had sung a song in her film Jai Ho. Speaking about Palaash, Daisy said, “Palaash is very good as a person. In fact, I have met him a couple of times. Palak had done a song for Jai Ho, so I have known her since then. I frequently attend parties at Palak’s home for birthdays and Ganpati pooja, and that’s how I met Palash. That’s how I got to know that he is a music composer and a director.”
Further talking about the Muchhal family, Daisy added, “I met his family — a beautiful family. They are very grounded and believe in God. I think that is the good part about them. Those who believe in God are positive people.”
About Palaash and Smriti Mandhana
Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana were set to tie the knot on November 23, 2025, after dating for several years. However, the wedding was later called off, which Mandhana confirmed through a social media post.
After the wedding was called off, the internet was abuzz with speculative theories, with many assuming that Palash was found cheating on Smriti during the wedding festivities.
Weeks later, Smriti issued an official statement regarding the matter. “Over the past few weeks, there has been plenty of speculation around my life, and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person and would like to keep it that way, but I need to clarify that the wedding has been called off. I would like to close this matter here and implore all of you to do the same. I request you to please respect the privacy of both families at this time and allow us the space to process and move on at our own pace,” her post read.
