The Allahabad High Court has upheld the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation’s (GMC) decision to hike property taxes, dismissing a petition by former councillors. The court found the method of fixing minimum monthly rent rates and revising taxes legally sound, despite residents facing a three to fourfold increase in their bills.
