Chandigarh is set to amend its Master Plan-2031 for the first time in over a decade, aiming to modernize urban planning and optimize land use. These reforms, driven by the central government’s ‘Deregulation 2.0’ initiative, will allow for higher building heights, increased FAR, and greater flexibility in industrial zones, while preserving the city’s heritage.
