Kanpur Municipal Corporation has reduced the mutation fee to a flat Rs 6,500, effective March 1, 2026. This change, approved after a 63-day process and addressing public objections, replaces the previous 1% of property value based on DM’s circle rate. The maximum fee will now be Rs 10,000 for properties exceeding Rs 50 lakh.
