The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday announced the schedule for the upcoming Assembly Election in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal, along with the Union Territory of Puducherry.
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, along with Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi, is addressing the media to outline the poll timetable.
The terms of the legislative assemblies in these states and the Union Territory are set to conclude between May and June.
Ahead of the announcement, the final electoral rolls have already been published following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voters’ list.
