New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) has issued stop-operation notices to 69 buildings for commercial use violations. Following initial identification of 1,200 buildings, inspections confirmed gross anomalies in 69, with a block-wise assessment of nearly 1,000 suspected properties ongoing. NKDA has also revised its NOC process for commercial use in residential buildings.
