The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has revealed that the Industrial Area Local Authority (IALA) in Madhapur caused a loss of over ₹100 crore to the government by under-assessing property taxes for IT companies. IALA applied lower industrial rates instead of office building rates, leading to a short levy of ₹105.91 crore between 2014 and 2022.
