Kone strikes $34 billion deal to buy TK Elevator and create world's largest lift maker

Finnish lift maker Kone is set to acquire German rival TK Elevator for 29.4 billion euros. This deal will create the world’s largest lift maker. Kone aims to expand its presence in the Americas. The merger is expected to yield significant cost savings. Regulatory approvals are anticipated to take 12 to 18 months.
