Refreshing is how Lisa Mishra describes the second season of Call Me Bae, having recently wrapped her portions in it. According to the actor and singer, the Ananya Panday-led series is a change of pace from the darker stories that dominate OTT entertainment.

“Call Me Bae is such a refreshing space to be a part of, especially at a time when so much of the content we see is leaning towards darker, heavier themes. It’s important to have narratives that celebrate joy, friendship, and the lighter, more relatable aspects of life,” said Mishra, who portrays a primetime news producer in the comedy.
What she holds dearer is how the Prime Video offering — also starring Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, and Sayani Gupta — places female voices front and centre. She emphasised, “The girlhood in this show is not just a backdrop; it’s the heart of the story. To be part of a show that has such a strong, primarily female-led cast is empowering.”
