No hand raised to buy Ludhiana’s ₹197-crore ghost complex

A 77-unit derelict property in Ludhiana failed to attract any bidders at auction, marking an 18-year streak of failure for the Ludhiana Improvement Trust. The state-backed developer is now reconsidering the reserve price for the 2.22-acre property after regional officials ignored internal warnings about its inflated valuation, which was expected to fetch ₹197 crore.
