Dream unrealised
(L-R) Sunny Deol and Dharmendra
Sunny Deol may be an action hero, but once upon a time, he dreamed of burning rubber on a Formula 1 track. During his recent appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati, the actor revealed that he had aspired to become a professional racing driver. When host Amitabh Bachchan asked him about his interest in racing, Sunny revealed that his father, late Dharmendra, was extremely protective of him and discouraged him from pursuing risky sports and activities. “Yes, I had a passion for such things, especially driving. But in our house, whenever we wanted to pursue sports or anything like that, because of father’s protective nature, we didn’t get permission. So that dream just remained incomplete,” he said.
For the love of India
Shah Rukh Khan
On Independence Day, Shah Rukh Khan turned patriotic on Instagram. The superstar shared an AI-tagged picture of himself in a white Pathani suit and penned a heartfelt note celebrating the country. He wrote, “A very Happy Independence Day to all. There’s something special about being Indian — the colours, the contrasts, the beautiful differences, the spirit and above all, the feeling of belonging to something much bigger than ourselves — our country. May we always value what we have and do our little bit to make our country proud. Proud to be an Indian and love being one. Jai Hind.”
