His appearance quickly caught attention on social media, with several users praising the actor for continuing to honour his professional commitments despite the injury.

Bachchan had spoken about the injury during a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 18. The actor explained that he had slipped and fallen while shooting the previous day, leaving him with pain in his knee. “Usually, I do my monologue standing at the centre, but today, I have a knee injury. Yesterday, during the shoot, I slipped and fell and injured my knee,” he said on the show.

While Bachchan chose to sit during his opening monologue, he clarified that the injury was not serious. He pointed towards his left knee and said he was experiencing “a little bit of difficulty standing up”. Just two days later, however, the actor stepped out for the Mumbai book launch. His appearance alongside Jaya and Gulzar led to an outpouring of appreciation from admirers online.

Fans praise Amitabh Bachchan’s dedication

Bachchan’s latest public appearance prompted fans to reflect on his work ethic, with many expressing admiration for his commitment. One social media user wrote, “If I could learn even 20 per cent of his hard work and dedication, my life would get back on track.”

Another commented, “I agree. I have nothing still; I am lazy and more tired. But Amit Ji, despite having everything in the world, works this hard at this age.”

A third user recalled an old anecdote attributed to either Helen or Sharmila Tagore, writing, “Every time a post like this comes up, reminds me of this quote from an older actress… who said that ‘no star except Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor came to sets on time’. Man was, is, has always been hard-working.”

On the work front, Bachchan has several projects in the pipeline, including Kalki 2898 AD part 2 with Prabhas and Kamal Haasan and Section 84, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. He has also been linked to Aankhen 2.
