Vishal Chaturvedi’s devotional film Hanuman Ansh, featuring Shobhinaw Satyaa as revered spiritual guru Neem Karoli Baba, continues to leave an impact not only at the box office but beyond that. Nearly two months after its release, the film’s impact is being reflected in the growing number of devotees and tourists visiting Baba’s shrine.
Hanuman Ansh effect
The impact of Hanuman Ansh appears to be extending beyond the box office, with a noticeable rise in devotees and tourists visiting Kainchi Dham. Almost two months after its release, the film’s popularity seems to have sparked greater interest in Baba Neem Karoli’s ashram. Devotees are now thronging the temple, particularly during weekends. According to Nainital Police, as reported by ETV Bharat, the daily footfall, which earlier stood at around 4,000 to 5,000 devotees, has crossed 6,000. On weekends, the number reportedly climbs to nearly 15,000 to 20,000, with devotees travelling to pay obeisance at Baba’s shrine.
