The Union Cabinet has approved a new 3.33-km extension for the Gujarat Metro. This new route will connect GIFT City to Shahpur. The project is expected to be completed in four years. It will feature three elevated stations. This extension will significantly improve connectivity between Ahmedabad and the GIFT region. The project will also create jobs during construction and operation.
