Greater Chennai Corporation has removed 2 lakh tonnes of construction and demolition waste across all 15 city zones in the past six months. Supported by Premier Precision Surface, the initiative uses 168 vehicles to clear approximately 1,000 tonnes of waste daily, which is then recycled into paver blocks. New disposal guidelines are in effect, with fines issued to violators.
