Delhi: NDMC tax reform may cut property tax up to 50%

The New Delhi Municipal Council plans to implement a Unit Area Method for property tax. This new system could slash taxes by 30 to 50 percent, especially for older, self-occupied properties. It aims for fairer taxation by assessing properties based on unit area rather than rental value. Traders welcome the move but seek clarity on tax rates and enforcement.
