IISc study flags groundwater crisis in Bengaluru; BWSSB readies ₹10 crore summer plan

Bengaluru faces a looming groundwater crisis, with 65 wards reporting alarming depletion. A Rs 10-crore plan is underway to mitigate potential summer shortages, including intensified borewell monitoring and ensuring optimal functioning of RO plants. The city water supply agency is also prioritizing new connections and repairing damaged pipelines to address the issue.
