Keneddy`s Night Anthem gives a glimpse of Anurag Kashyap`s noir thriller

Anurag Kashyap`s critically acclaimed film, Kennedy, is finally making its way to the Indian screens after premiering at international film festivals, including Cannes. Adding to the haunting and atmospheric world of Kennedy, the makers have now dropped a powerful Night Anthem track that highlights the film’s raw emotional intensity.

Night Anthem from Kennedy

Night Anthem is sung by the dynamic Vishal Dadlani, who has blended his evocative vocals with a moody sonic landscape, which in turn perfectly mirrors the fractured psyche of the film’s protagonist, played by Rahul Bhat. The track is composed and written by the talented duo Boyblanck and Shashwat Dwivedi. Notably, the track serves as an emotional extension of the film’s narrative, which explores the themes of isolation, redemption, and the blurred lines between morality and survival.

Night Anthem is set against the backdrop of Mumbai’s dark and restless nights, seamlessly complementing the journey of Kennedy Uday Shetty, played by Rahul Bhat, a former cop turned contract killer who is navigating a dangerous double life.

Just like the film itself, the composition of the song balances intensity with vulnerability, giving audiences a deeper insight into Kennedy’s internal conflict as well as his emotional scars. Together, the song and score turn out to be integral storytelling devices, amplifying the film’s noir tonality while attracting the audience deeper into Kennedy’s dark and relentless world.

About Kennedy

Kennedy is directed by Anurag Kashyap, and it also features a compelling performance by actress Sunny Leone alongside a strong ensemble cast. The film is produced by Zee Studios and Good Bad Films. The film`s narrative, as well as the immersive musical landscape, is further enhanced by its haunting background score recorded with the Prague Philharmonic Choir. Thier contributions elevate the film’s brooding and atmospheric storytelling.

Interestingly, Kennedy marks filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s return to his signature Mumbai noir storytelling. His upcoming film, Kennedy, stands as his third major Mumbai-set crime narrative after hit classics such as Black Friday and Raman Raghav 2.0.

After premiering at several film festivals, Kennedy is set to arrive in India on February 20, 2026, in Hindi on ZEE5.
