The Maharashtra government has approved a Rs 6,000 crore loan to acquire land for the Purandar airport project. A special purpose vehicle, with CIDCO holding the majority stake, will manage the greenfield airport’s execution. This project is expected to significantly boost development and connectivity in Pune and western Maharashtra.
