Prayagraj Municipal Corporation approved a 40% house tax rebate for older buildings. This benefit will be automatic for properties over 20 years old. The decision takes effect from April 2026. Many older city areas will see relief. A One-Time Settlement scheme for tax defaulters is also proposed. The municipal budget was revised downwards.
