Salman Khan cheers for Priety Zinta`s IPL team, netizens say, `We got a sequel`

Back in 2014, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan made a tweet on X (formerly Twitter) about Priety Zinta`s Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, and since then it has been one of the internet`s favourite memes. Following his now-familiar trend of posting for Preity Zinta, Salman, on Monday, posted another tweet congratulating his former co-star for Punjab Kings` (PBKS) impressive performance. The internet joined the dots and is now rejoicing, saying they got a sequel to his viral after 12 years.

On Monday, Salman tweeted, “Well done Zinta, Congratulations Zinta, Team is playing well ….realpreityzinta.” In no time, the users pulled out Salman`s tweet from 2014, noting that the he actor`s legendary Zinta shoutout is back and posted hilarious reactions to it.

For the unversed back in 2014, Salman had cheered for Preity’s team PBKS, tweeting, “Zinta`s team won kya?” The tweet had gone viral and to date remains one of the internet`s favourite tweets of all times, with users regularly sharing it under Salman`s tweets and also on Reddit.

Soon, fans began flooding the comments section with his 2014 tweet, with many calling him her “old fan.” One user wrote, “Sallu bhai knows what he`s doing recreating that iconic tweet”
