According to a report in Hindustan Times, Sanya Malhotra and Rishab Sharma have mutually decided to part ways. The two reportedly went their separate paths a while ago and chose to keep this phase of their lives low-key. They have also unfollowed each other on social media.
The report further quoted a source claiming that Rishab has moved on and is dating someone new, though he has chosen to keep it private.
Sanya and Rishab had kept their relationship low-key, ensuring they were rarely spotted together in public. They were often seen leaving the same venue at different times, an age-old practice among celebrities to avoid speculation.
Rumours about their closeness surfaced when a Reddit user shared pictures of them spending time together. The images went viral in January 2025. In one of the pictures, Sanya was seen standing nearby as Rishab clicked a picture with a fan. Netizens also noticed them attending the same events and posing with the same group of people.

Even as her personal life sees a change, the actress is celebrating success in her professional life. She recently moved into her new house in Mumbai and shared pictures from her griha pravesh on Instagram. Marking the milestone, the Kathal actress said the house is a reminder that patience and faith can lead to beautiful outcomes. She also credited her family and friends for their constant support.

Sanya Malhotra’s work front
On the professional front, Sanya will be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar, where she will share screen space with Bobby Deol for the first time. The film premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival and is backed by Nikhil Dwivedi under his banner Saffron Magicworks.
Additionally, she will star opposite Rajkummar Rao in Toaster, directed by Vivek Das Chaudhary. The film was initially slated to premiere on Netflix on August 19, 2025, but is yet to release.
