Sunny and Bobby Deol to host special screening of Dharmendra’s final film Ikkis

Legendary actor Dharmendra’s death has left a void in the industry. His last film, Ikkis, is all set to release next week. To honour their father’s legacy, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol will host a special screening. The event will see the Deol brothers addressing the media for the first time.

Dharmendra’s sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, are hosting a special screening of Ikkis in memory of their late father. It will be held in Mumbai in the coming week. The Deol brothers are expected to address the media and speak about their father for the first time since his death in November. It is going to be an emotional moment for the Deol family.

In an interview with ANI, Sriram revealed Dharmendra watched the first half of Ikkis when he wasn’t keeping well. “I met him in October. At that time, he was okay, but he was not too well. He did watch the first half and waited for the second half.”

About Dharmendra’s death

Bollywood legend Dharmendra, 89, passed away at his Mumbai residence on November 24, following a month-long illness. His eldest son, Sunny Deol, conducted the last rites at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle at 1:30 pm, with members of the Deol family by his side. The actor`s health had been a cause for concern since he was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment for breathing difficulties, on October 31. On November 10, Dharmendra’s condition had deteriorated further, at which point he was put on ventilator support in the ICU.

About Ikkis

Ikkis is directed by Sriram Raghavan and is based on the life of Arun Khetarpal, one of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardees, who was martyred during the 1971 Indo-Pak war at the age of 21. The title directly refers to Khetarpal’s age at the time of his death. The lead role is played by Agastya Nanda, and Dharmendra plays his father in the film. The film also stars Simar Bhatia, Jaideep Ahlawat, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher, and Rahul Dev.

Nanda and Dharmendra`s war drama Ikkis, initially scheduled for December 25, will now release on January 1, 2026.
