Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday’s Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri (TMMTMTTM) has had an underwhelming opening at the box office despite a holiday release. The rom-com faced stiff competition from Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, which has entered its fourth week with no signs of slowing down. Amid this, TMMTMTTM failed to earn what a Christmas release featuring popular stars was expected to.
TMMTMTTM box office collection
On Friday, Dharma Productions took to social media to share the film’s opening-day collections. Directed by Sameer Vidwans of Satyaprem Ki Katha fame, the film earned Rs 8.46 crore on its opening day.
The film was initially set to clash with Sriram Raghavan’s directorial Ikkis. The film, which stars Agastya Nanda in the lead along with Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat, had its release postponed by a week following the release of Dhurandhar. Ikkis will now hit theatres on January 1, 2026.
CBFC suggested changes for TMMTMTTM
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has been granted a U/A 16+ certificate. The Examining Committee of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) suggested three changes. The makers were asked to shorten a sexually suggestive scene in the first half, resulting in a 15-second cut.
Additionally, the CBFC instructed the makers to mute and remove obscene words from the dialogue and subtitles. Abbreviations of obscene expressions used in a scene in the second half were also asked to be removed. As per the censor certificate, the film’s runtime is 145.41 minutes.
