Four people died and one was injured when a five-decade-old corporation-owned building collapsed in Kozhikode. The mayor defended the civic body, stating a decision to rebuild was made in 2022 but tenants were not asked to vacate due to social implications. A comprehensive report and enquiry have been ordered.
