The Nashik Municipal Corporation is launching an inspection drive to ensure rainwater harvesting systems are functional in buildings of 500sqm or more. Mayor Himgauri Aher instructed officials to review existing systems and consider penalties for non-compliance. Incentives for reporting violations and voluntary installations are also being explored to improve groundwater levels.
