Ghaziabad’s fire department has declared 42 buildings, including residences and hospitals, ‘unsafe’ due to non-compliance with fire safety norms. Despite court proceedings initiated in 2017, only nine of the initially identified 51 buildings have upgraded their infrastructure. Recent inspections revealed ongoing issues with fire equipment in numerous residential complexes and commercial establishments.
