Belagavi City Corporation has cancelled Property Identification Numbers for 31 unauthorized buildings. These buildings were constructed on lands bought through Rs 100 stamp paper agreements without valid land records. An inquiry found the properties were in a drain buffer zone. Officials involved in the irregular PID issuance are now facing an inquiry.
