City heartthrobs
At the Mumbai Comic Con 2026, Tamannaah Bhatia and Sidharth Malhotra promoted their upcoming film, ‘Vvan: Force of the Forest’. On the stage, Tamannaah praised her co-star Sid, by saying, “I think he is India’s heartthrob. I cannot tell you the number of friends and friends’ nieces who called me, excited that I was working with Sid.” Sidharth, meanwhile, waved and interacted warmly with fans. The film, helmed by Deepak Kumar Mishra of ‘Panchayat’ fame, releases in cinemas on August 28.
The unforgettable journey

Veteran actor Anupam Kher returned to Apta Railway Station, the filming location of the iconic Raj-Simran scene from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), and described the visit as “an incredibly emotional and nostalgic experience”. Revisiting the spot after 32 years, Anupam said, “It honestly didn’t feel like so many years had passed.” Reflecting on the scene featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, he added, “We never imagined that the moment would go on to become one of the most memorable moments in Indian cinema.” Anupam also urged the Maharashtra government to preserve the location as a celebrated cinematic heritage site.

Shabana Azmi turned emotional as the Postal Department’s Maharashtra Circle released a special postal cover in memory of celebrated poet Kaifi Azmi on his death anniversary in Mumbai, with lyricist Javed Akhtar also present at the event. “Kaifi Azmi is being remembered all over the country 24 years after he passed away. This is testimony to the fact that his work remains relevant over the ages,” she said. Reflecting on his progressive writing, she added that his poetry championed “women’s rights, labourers, and concern for the environment.”
Khatron ka khiladi

Social media personality Orhan Awatramani, AKA Orry, is set to join the upcoming season of Rohit Shetty’s Khatron Ke Khiladi. Speaking to PTI, Orry addressed critics who predicted his fame would fade, saying, “Everyone was like, ‘His 15 minutes will end’. It’s been three years and my 15 minutes is still going, your watch is broken.” He added that the show would test his “mental and physical endurance”. The new season will reportedly be filmed in Cape Town this month.
