The name game
Earlier in the week, mid-day reported that Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Priyadarshan are reuniting for their ninth film (Reunion party that goes on and on, July 1). Now, it appears that the hitmaker jodi has decided on its title. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, the comedy thriller has been titled Wicked Sunny. A source cited in the report indicated that the title “does complete justice to the film’s zone and its lead character”. The project is expected to roll in December.
Diwali outing for ‘Diler’?

Will third time be the charm for Ibrahim Ali Khan? Hopefully. The buzz is that Diler, the actor’s third film, is being lined up for release over the Diwali weekend in November. Maddock Films is apparently eyeing November 6 as a potential date for the sports drama, which is directed by Kunal Deshmukh and sees Ibrahim as a marathon runner. Diler will mark the first theatrical release of the youngster, who forayed into acting with Netflix’s widely panned Nadaaniyan (2025).
