'Yami Gautam, Aditya Dhar not moving to Himachal Pradesh': Director's team

There were rumours about Aditya Dhar and Yami Gautam leaving Mumbai and making Himachal Pradesh their permanent base. However, now a member of Aditya’s team has clarified that the reports are inaccurate and that the National Award-winning couple have no plans to permanently shift to Himachal Pradesh.

Amid the rumours, SCREEN reached out to Aditya Dhar’s team to confirm these reports. The filmmaker’s representatives have denied the claims, questioning the source of speculation. “No. Who is sending this story?” they told the portal. Earlier, NDTV, citing a source, had claimed that the couple was planning to leave Mumbai and shift to their home in Himachal Pradesh, citing a connection to Yami’s state and hometown.

Yami had acquired a decade-old heritage property along with a 25-acre plot in Gohar. However, Aditya’s team has denied the report, claiming that there is no truth to these reports.

Aditya Dhar has been in the spotlight following the success of his blockbuster franchise – Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Released within a span of three months, the films have collectively collected over Rs 3,000 crore at the box office.

At the 72nd National Film Awards, held on September 22 in Gujarat, the couple won National Awards for their work on Article 370. Yami took home the Best Actress award, while Aditya received the award for Best Feature Film.

Despite being one of Bollywood’s notable filmmaker-actor couples, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar have largely kept their personal life away from the limelight. Their relationship began after they met while working on Dhar’s directorial debut, Uri: The Surgical Strike. The couple married in 2021 and later became parents to a son, Vedavid, who was born in 2024.

Meanwhile, Yami is currently gearing up for her upcoming film, Nayii Naveli, which is set to release on October 16.
