Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are set to explore the darker side of love with Tu Hai Meri Kiran. The trailer of the upcoming thriller offers a glimpse into a relationship that appears to move from attraction and connection towards something far more unsettling.
Tu Hai Meri Kiran trailer explores obsession
Directed by Karan Rawal, the film revolves around one-sided love, obsession and the blurred line between what is real and what is imagined. While the trailer introduces Sonakshi and Zaheer’s characters, it deliberately holds back key details about their relationship, leaving the central mystery open.
The trailer establishes an intense atmosphere as the relationship between the two characters takes an unexpected turn. What begins as an emotional connection appears to develop into an obsession, with suspense driving the narrative forward. The film seems to rely on twists and psychological tension rather than revealing its answers upfront.
Talking about her character, Sonakshi said the film allowed her to enter unfamiliar territory. “What intrigued me most was the unsettling world the film creates, where an emotion can slowly become something far more intense and consuming,” she said.
Zaheer, meanwhile, said the story’s exploration of one-sided love was what initially attracted him to the project. “There is a strong sense of mystery and suspense throughout the film, which keeps you wondering what lies beneath the surface,” he said.
The actors also reunite on screen after their previous collaboration in Double XL, making Tu Hai Meri Kiran another project bringing the real-life couple together professionally.
Sonakshi, Zaheer headline Karan Rawal thriller
For writer-director Karan Rawal, the film is an exploration of how intense feelings can change when someone becomes consumed by them. He said he wanted to create a thriller where viewers would constantly question what they were seeing.
“The opportunity to create a thriller where the audience is constantly questioning what is real and what lies beneath the surface” was among the aspects that drew him to the story, Rawal said.
Producer Vishal Rana also highlighted the film’s focus on obsession and its consequences, describing the relationship at its centre as unpredictable. “The film keeps you questioning what is real, what is imagined and where the story is headed,” he said.
With its trailer keeping the biggest questions unanswered, audiences will have to wait for the film to uncover what really lies behind the characters’ complicated relationship. Produced by Vishal Rana under Echelon Productions, Tu Hai Meri Kiran will hit theatres on October 23.
