Fadnavis dismisses Rahul’s NDA collapse prediction, says he is `daydreaming`

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday rubbished remarks made by Rahul Gandhi suggesting that the NDA government at the Centre could collapse within a year, describing the statement as little more than “daydreaming”, reported the PTI.

Responding to questions from reporters, Fadnavis compared Gandhi’s comments to the well-known television serial Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne, which centred on fanciful dreams and unrealistic expectations.

“There was once a popular television programme called Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne. His statement is nothing beyond that,” the Maharashtra chief minister remarked, the news agency reported.

The BJP has alleged that Rahul Gandhi made the prediction during a meeting of the advisory council of the Congress Minority Department earlier this week, where he reportedly claimed that the Narendra Modi-led government would not survive beyond the coming year.

Remarks during Nagpur logistics park launch

CM Fadnavis made the comments while attending the inauguration of the Godam Logistics Park in Nagpur alongside Union minister Nitin Gadkari, as per the PTI.

During the event, the chief minister highlighted the significance of the new logistics infrastructure for Maharashtra’s industrial and manufacturing sectors.

He said Nagpur had rapidly evolved into a major logistics centre due to the state government’s comprehensive logistics policy and ongoing infrastructure development.

Nagpur positioned as national logistics hub

According to CM Fadnavis, the expanding network of logistics parks in Nagpur is expected to substantially reduce operational and transportation costs for businesses, reported the PTI.

He stressed that lowering logistics expenses is vital if Indian companies are to compete effectively in international markets and become integrated into global supply chains.

“If India wishes to strengthen its position in the global supply chain and remain internationally competitive, reducing logistics costs is essential. This platform is helping us move in that direction,” he said.

Rahul trying to create `anarchy` to topple Modi govt: BJP

The BJP on Sunday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of conspiring to destabilise the Narendra Modi government by “creating anarchy” in the country, alleging that he was acting at the behest of foreign forces, according to the PTI.

Several BJP leaders, including Union minister Piyush Goyal, claimed that Gandhi`s “plan” was exposed after the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha reportedly said at a meeting of the advisory council of the Congress` Minority Department on Tuesday that the Modi government will fall within a year.
