He is particularly keen to see how best to revisit this film.” Sanjay too recently confirmed the development at an event, where he said, “We are working on Vaastav 2.”

Actor-filmmaker Riteish Deshmukh says his decade-long journey with Raja Shivaji proved “a blessing in disguise”. The historical epic, released on May 1, traces the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. “Had it started in 2016, this would not be the film, it would be a different film, a different star cast. We just thought why not make it slightly bigger and more ambitious,” he said in an interview with PTI. He added, “I feel relieved. I’m truly humbled.” So far, the historical action drama has reportedly grossed R52.68 crore globally.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve has demanded that ‘Raja Shivaji’ be made tax-free in Maharashtra so as to make it accessible to a larger audience. Danve made the demand in a letter written to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
