Director Nitesh Tiwari has admitted he felt both “intimidated” and “inspired” when he was offered the ambitious mythological epic Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash. In a conversation shared by producer Namit Malhotra on the filmmaker’s birthday, Nitesh said, “Telling a great story like the Ramayana comes with a lot of moral responsibility.”

Calling the experience “daunting and inspiring”, the director added that joining the project was “an incredible experience”. Namit, meanwhile, praised Nitesh’s “clarity” and “calm” while bringing “the greatest story of our country” to life.

After years of buzz and speculation, the long-in-the-making action entertainer 7 Dogs is finally gearing up for a theatrical release. Starring Monica Bellucci alongside Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, the film will first roll out across Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other West Asian regions on May 27 before releasing in India on May 28. According to the makers, the globe-spanning action-comedy follows Interpol agent played by Khalid Al-Azzazi teaming up with a member of the notorious 7 Dogs syndicate “to fight drug trafficking”. Mounted on a reported $40 million budget, the film has already made headlines for its massive scale and record-breaking explosion sequences.
