A father-son duo in Kanpur allegedly defrauded 29 individuals of Rs 7 lakh by falsely promising housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana. After months of no housing and no refunds, victims reported being harassed and threatened when seeking their money back. An FIR has now been registered following court orders.
