Mahira Khan has announced that she is expecting her second child, sharing the news with a picture of herself in a white gown that showed her baby bump. Keeping the announcement understated, the actor captioned the post, “We make plans and then there is ALLAH’S plan.” The announcement came during her appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival 2026, where she moderated a conversation as part of the festival’s Community Impact programming. For her TIFF appearances, Mahira embraced elegant looks, including a heavily embroidered purple saree paired with exquisite jewellery, subtly highlighting her baby bump.

In 2024, a user on Reddit alleged in a now-deleted post that the actress was expecting a baby after her marriage to Pakistani entrepreneur Salim Karim. The post had also claimed that Mahira had stepped away from Netflix’s ‘Jo Bachey Sang Samait Lo’ and another yet-to-be-titled film. Speaking with ‘The Express Tribune’, Mahira issued a clarification and said there was no truth to the aforementioned claims.
