The trailer opens with an ailing Naseeruddin Shah on his deathbed; his grandson (Diljit Dosanjh) is beside him. Shah has only one wish- to go to a place in Pakistan. 78 years ago, that was the very place he fell in love with a beautiful woman. His love was taken away from him during the partition of 1947. The narrative flows between the two timelines and focuses on the never-dying emotion of love.
The film reunites the legendary trio of A.R. Rahman, Irshad Kamil, and Imtiaz, a creative synergy that has given Indian cinema some of its most unforgettable melodies, including the ones released so far from this film.
