Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane, best known for Sanam Teri Kasam, has delighted fans by announcing the arrival of her first child with her husband, Ameer Gilani. The couple has welcomed a baby boy, whom they have named Syed Azmar Hussain Kamal Gilani.

According to Moneycontrol, Mawra shared the happy news on X, posting a video from the hospital that offered a glimpse of their newborn son and Ameer. In the clip, Ameer is seen reciting the Azaan into his son’s ears as part of the Muslim tradition.
Along with announcing their son’s arrival, Mawra and Ameera also revealed his name in the video. The actress also explained the meaning behind her son’s name, Syed Azmar Hussain Kamal Gilani, explaining that Azmar means “lion.” In her caption, she also called him ‘the king of our jungle, our pride, our littlest most precious treasure.”
Soon after sharing the heartwarming news on social media, the couple was flooded with love and congratulatory messages from fans and well-wishers. Mawra and Ameer tied the knot on February 25 last year in a Muslim wedding ceremony. The two worked together in several Pakistani television dramas, including Sabaat and Neem.
Having known each other for years before tying the knot, the couple have now entered a new phase in their lives, embracing parenthood.
