Urvashi Rautela’s team has now issued a firm statement regarding the alleged unauthorised use of actress Urvashi’s name, images and video by a Los Angeles based artificial intelligence company. The shared that by using the actress’ name they have earned large sum of money.
Urvashi Rautela seeks Rs 7,000 crore in damages
In the statement shared on Instagram, Urvashi’s team mentioned that the company’s business had allegedly earned billions of dollars by using Urvashi’s pictures and videos without seeking the legal rights or permissions. The statement read, “We are pursuing appropriate legal remedies, including damages currently being assessed at Rs 7,000 crore against the Los Angeles-based company.”

It further had a strong warning, “Build your AI (Artificial intelligence) company. Build your brand but keep Urvashi’s name out of your business unless you have permission.”
The issue comes at a time when India is witnessing a growing number of legal disputes involving AI-generated content, deepfakes and the unauthorised use of celebrities’ names, images and likenesses. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly accessible, public figures are seeking legal protection against the misuse of their identity for commercial and other purposes. The developments have also sparked wider discussions around personality rights, consent and the need for stronger safeguards to prevent digital manipulation and unauthorised exploitation.
Urvashi Rautela’s former AI issue
Earlier, Urvashi had reacted to an AI image of hers where she was on her knees and bowing down to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Madhuri Dixit. In the image, Urvashi was on her knees with Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Reacting to the image, she had shared a statement, “I truly believe every actress has her own journey, hard work, and destiny. Comparing women or creating fan wars only spreads negativity. Let’s celebrate talent, growth, and kindness instead. Please stop this toxicity.”
A lot of actors from Bollywood have been taking legal steps to safeguard their personality rights. Recently, Salman Khan had also addressed the AI issue on Bigg Boss 20’s Weekend Ka Vaar where he said, “Now, people who don’t know it is AI-generated content might post that Salman Khan was there. But those who know this reality and still created the video, what kind of people are they? Now those kinds of people should be put behind bars. There has be law that needs to be passed and there has to be censorship on social media.”
