Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge has created history at the box office with its phenomenal run. The sequel has sparked curiosity among fans, with many anticipating part 3 of the spy saga. Amid this, producer Jyoti Deshpande has dropped a big hint. She has confirmed that there is a surprise for Dhurandhar fans.
Jyoti Deshpande hints at surprise for Dhurandhar fans
“We’re not done with Dhurandhar yet. We’ll hopefully have a surprise for the audience later this year. There’s something up our sleeves,” she said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. The details have been kept under wraps for now, but the confirmation has increased anticipation among Dhurandhar fans.
One fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “When the Dhurandhar content is released later this year, it will be the behind-the-scenes documentary, and then after its release, they will post the announcement for the Maurya trilogy directed by Dhar starring Ranveer #DREAMS (sic).”
Another fan wrote, “There are 3 possibilities of what’s coming: 1) They’re releasing exclusive BTS footage, cast interviews, and a making video in theatres. 2) An 8-hour extended uncut version (Part 1 & 2 combined). 3) An announcement for Dhurandhar 3 or the next film of the Dhurandhar universe (sic).”
Earlier, a report in HT City stated, “The craze for Dhurandhar is so much that the makers have decided to turn even the making of the film into a spectacle. All the BTS footage and cast interviews together will be collated into a full-length feature film and will be unveiled as a theatrical release in the last quarter of 2026.”

Dhurandhar chronicles a long-running Indian intelligence mission in which an undercover operative adopts the identity of a Baloch man, Hamza Ali Mazari (Singh), and infiltrates Pakistan`s criminal underworld with the objective of dismantling a terror network targeting India. The narrative is loosely inspired by several real-life geopolitical flashpoints, including the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 attack on the Indian Parliament, and the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
The film features an ensemble cast led by Singh, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. It is written, directed, and produced by Aditya Dhar, and co-produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. Its sequel, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, released worldwide on March 19 and has so far earned close to Rs 1,800 crore worldwide.
