Girl power rocks!
When a female filmmaker is calling the shots, there’s both comfort and creativity on set, says Jyotika, who stars in the upcoming OTT film ‘System’. “There was a great level of comfort. And I will definitely say, it’s more comfortable working with a female director [Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari], very proudly and boldly. We could share a lot of things with her. She saw us the way we wanted to be seen on screen,” she said.

They say catfights among female co-stars are common, but in the case of Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon, it’s all shararat and zero drama. During the music launch of Cocktail 2, the two indulged in a playful tug-of-war over who producer Dinesh Vijan favours more. It all began when Kriti cheekily welcomed everyone to “my song launch”, prompting Rashmika to jump in with, “You mean, my song launch?” The banter only got sassier, with Rashmika adding, “Actually, my song is launching today. We are just showing yours to keep you happy.” Kriti shot back, “Baby, I have done seven films with Maddock. This is my eighth. I don’t think they need to keep me happy at all. I am very happy.” Things got even spicier when Rashmika slyly brought up the box-office success of Chhaava (2025). “After the box office numbers of Chhaava, I think the favouritism has changed a bit.” Right when the mock battle peaked, Shahid Kapoor made a dramatic entry and declared, “Welcome to my song’s launch.” The ladies instantly corrected him with, “You mean our song launch.” Lol!
