Commercial real estate data firm CoStar Group is close to buying housing market data provider Zonda for nearly eight hundred million dollars. This acquisition will boost CoStar’s residential data offerings, particularly in new home construction. Zonda tracks housing starts and builder activity. The deal is expected to be announced soon. CoStar has been expanding through acquisitions.
