7 Dogs: Sanjay Dutt expands global footprint with Salman-starrer action thriller

For almost 40 years, Sanjay Dutt built his career on Hindi films, before exploring South Indian movies. Now, the actor has cast his net wider with his first international offering, 7 Dogs.

The action thriller, directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, brings together an ensemble cast spanning several film industries. While Egyptian stars Karim Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz headline 7 Dogs, Dutt and Salman Khan represent India.

The cast also includes Italian actor Monica Bellucci, American actors Martin Lawrence and Giancarlo Esposito. Sharing his excitement, Dutt said, “It was a unique experience for me to work on a film of this scale with an international team. You don’t get to be part of a project like this every day.”

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah previously directed ‘Bad Boys for Life’ and ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’

The film has locked August 21 as its India release date. Though Dutt has had countless releases over the decades, this one admittedly hits different. “India is home, and this is where the audience has watched my work for so many years. So, to be part of an international film and then have it come to Indian theatres is a great feeling,” he shared.
