Bhooth Bangla: Priyadarshan quashes reports of rift between Tabu-Akshay Kumar

Priyadarshan has denied recent reports that suggested there could be a rift between Akshay Kumar and Tabu over the alleged chopping of the actress’s scenes in Bhooth Bangla. Recently, there were rumours that Tabu was upset with Akshay Kumar after her scenes were chopped from the horror-comedy, which she wouldn’t have done had she known earlier. However, director Priyadarshan has put the rumours to an end.

Priyadarshan on Tabu-Akshay rift

Priyadarshan reportedly told Pinkvilla, “I don’t know why and who is spreading this negative news. Tabu is not upset at all. I have done eight films with her, and if she was upset, she would have told me.” He further mentioned, “I am the director of Bhooth Bangla, and I decide what to keep and what not to. The film is a big success, but some are trying to spread negativity.”

Talking of Akshay`s role in editing the film, the filmmaker clarified, “Akshay didn’t ask me to edit any part; he never does. I do my work with honesty, and every actor comes and sees the film before the release. Whoever is spreading such rumours should be ashamed.”
