Junaid Khan admits it will take a lifetime to step out of Aamir Khan’s shadow

Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan debuted in 2024 with Maharaj. He has tried to carve his own path, and his journey has been a testament to it. However, being Aamir Khan’s son does make it difficult for Junaid to outgrow his shadow. During promotions for Ek Din, Junaid candidly spoke about the pressure of being Aamir Khan’s son. He admitted that the superstar’s legacy will always follow him.

Junaid Khan on facing identity crisis

In a promotional video for the film, Sai Pallavi asked Junaid if he had ever felt an identity crisis because he is Aamir Khan’s son. To this, Junaid replied, “The shadow of being Aamir Khan`s son, you are never going to outgrow. It`s neither positive nor negative. He`s been a star for 35 years. I am not competing with it anytime soon. It will take me a lifetime to get there. So, for the foreseeable future, no matter how well I do, I`ll always be Aamir Khan`s son.”

During the promotions of Ek Din, Aamir mentioned how he does not interfere in Junaid’s professional life. The actor shared how Junaid studied filmmaking, performed in theatres in Mumbai, and auditioned without revealing that he is Aamir Khan’s son to get work and carve his own path.
